THE reviews are in and
they are all raving about the The Master Genealogist®!
-
'TMG ver.5.0 is a definite winner with
its ability to cater from the novice to the experienced user. This release not
only sees hundreds of new and improved features for version 5, but the
inclusion of UK features in the latest update will sure please all its UK
users'. - Family History Online (UK), December
2004
'Probably the best program to record
and manage your researches. This software lived up to its reputation as
an extremely powerful family history program. First-time users experience a
steep learning curve, though it's made easier by the copious cue cards,
software wizards, and choice of advanced or beginners data entry. It's
not for those who want a simple way to record their family, but for serious
researchers its depth of features is unbeatable'. - Your Family
Tree Magazine (UK), October 2004
'The UK edition removes all those
irritating Americanisms that so often mar otherwise excellent software, and it
replaces them with the UK equivalent - a big improvement...[TMG is] a very
powerful, versatile and comprehensive piece of software to aid you in your
genealogical labours'. - Family Tree Magazine (UK), October,
2004
Wholly Genes Software
president, Bob Velke, speaks about the philosphy of the design of The Master
Genealogist® program at this year's Federation of Society

THIS edition of TMG is configured for
people whose principal research interests are in the 'Old Dart' (the British
Isles).
It supports UK-style drop-line charts and a long list of special
customisations designed by UK researchers. While it naturally uses UK spellings
and phrases in its menus and screens, this special edition is also
pre-configured with UK-oriented field labels, event types, sentence templates,
source types, citation output templates, and historical timelines. Abbreviations
and web searching features automatically support Chapman codes. UK editions of
the spell-checker, help file, and electronic Users Guide are also
included.
With
its exclusive GenBridge™ import technology, researchers can
upgrade to TMG and convert their data directly from a long list of popular
programs (including Family Tree Maker®, Personal Ancestral
File®, Generations®, Ultimate Family
Tree®, and Legacy®) without many of the
problems typically associated with GEDCOM® transfers.
Its extensive
list of features and attention to the highest academic standards has given The
Master Genealogist® the reputation among experienced
researchers as 'the one that does it all'.
