Constructed by John Bartholomew, FRGS, and first published at London in 1888 by George Philip & Son, this PDF-format resource will come into its own among researchers with Scottish forebears.

It features a key map of Scotland, as well as overviews of the Western Islands (with parts of Ross and Inverness), the environs of Glasgow and Edinburgh, and it comes with a consulting index.

Using the Zoom In Tool of Adobe® Acrobat Reader™, it's possible to obtain quite useful detail from each hand-coloured map.

This CD can be viewed by any computer using Reader™ (version 6 or later recommended). The data on this CD is completely self-contained, and requires no installation.
