BOASTS 74 SCANPRO 2000™ UNITS
HARTFORD, Wisconsin.– The National Archives of Ontario microfilm research room, located at 134 Ian Macdonald Boulevard, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, boasts a total of 74 ScanPro 2000™ universal digital micrographic scanners.
There are four long tables (two shown in the photo below).
Each table has 14 to 18 ScanPro 2000s™ using large, ultra-sharp monitors.
The 30-inch, ultra-sharp monitors are positioned in the landscape mode (see in the foreground of the photo below) while the 24-inch, ultra-sharp monitors are positioned in the portrait mode.
There are network printers with print release stations located at the end of the rows and the ScanPro 2000™ stations permit the patron to save microfilm images to their own flash drive (there are six stations that are read-only).
This ScanPro 2000™ installation is almost a year old and the report is that the patrons are are very pleased with the advanced digital micrographic scanning technology's performance.
